Great scores for Giacomo Fenocchio’s Baroli, here are some excellent scores from Jancis Robinson:
Giacomo Fenocchio, Villero 2010 Barolo 19 Drink 2020-2040
Castiglione Falletto. Riper and fruitier than their Cannubi. Still has the signature floral fragrance, but there is even more on the palate – perfume, chocolate, violets, and tar – the whole nine yards of Barolo. Fantastic. (RH)

Giacomo Fenocchio, Bussia 2010 Barolo 18.5 Drink 2020-2040
Monforte d’Alba. Black fruit and sweet spices with a generous dose of woodiness too. The hardest tannins of their Barolos – really impenetrable. Condensed and multilayered – a very demanding wine at this stage. Needs plenty of maturation. (RH)
£215.94 per case of 6 Armit
Giacomo Fenocchio, Bussia Riserva 2010 Barolo 18.5 Drink 2015-2035
Monforte d’Alba. Sweet and juicy, and showing proper development in that earthy spectrum. Floral too – really showboating Barolo’s potential. The tannins are already approachable too, though they need either lots of hearty food or another few years in bottle, preferably. (RH)
£269.94 per case of 6 Armit
Giacomo Fenocchio, Cannubi 2010 Barolo 18+ Drink 2020-2035
Barolo. Full of fragrance, plus a purity and clarity of fruit that delivers great substance. Very firm tannins – the flavours seem ready, but the structure certainly isn’t. Very hard edged, still – but with all the makings of greatness. (RH)
£215.94 per case of 6 Armit
Giacomo Fenocchio 2010 Barolo 17.5 Drink 2016-2030
Monforte d’Alba. Bursting with fragrance – evocative and emotive, almost! Confidently high tannin, and light body. The scent is the most remarkable aspect though – really stellar. (RH)
£179.94 per case of 6 Armit
